What to the What!! I really need to get my stuff together!

I've been busy entering in the new orders for Quilting Mayhem, so this week I decided to try to put my palette together from incoming fabric! Many of these pieces will be available for pre-order on Quilting Mayhem's site shortly. (**refer back to the getting my stuff together comment**)

I'm at quilt market and totally slacked this week on CPF so I had to throw this together this morning before heading to Market. I'm sorry its not as well thought out or inspired, but its still wonderful because of the Cotton and Steel!

I used all Cotton and Steel fabrics this week because I'm so excited about my new fab babies -mostly adopted from Cotton and Steel!

I will post more about Market later. In the meantime here are the participants.

This week I've taken a lot of time to sketch out some pattern ideas, and make samples for the shop. Now it is Thursday evening, and I'm rushing to throw this together on time. I don't like rushing the creative process, but somehow the stars aligned and this palette and bundle came together super quickly! (Love when that happens)

I think I may have used a couple of these fabrics before because, like everyone, I have my favorites! Still I really like how this turned out, and I think that these would be perfect for a picnic quilt.

The Fabrics:
Curly Cues in Glen by Denyse Schmidt for FreeSpirit
Corner Plaid in Mossy by Denyse Schmidt for FreeSpirit
Dear me in Indigo by Tula Pink for FreeSpirit
Crosshatch in Shale by Carolyn Friedlander for Robert Kaufman
Allotments in Graphite by Karen Lewis for Robert Kaufman

Since I've started my color selection for my second Gypsy Wife this last week I can get back to picking out fabrics on a whim!

Last night I was talking to a friend who is moving into her new home soon. In the fun of talking about how she is going to decorate I remembered the Stag Panel I received at Christmas, and I thought it might make the most perfect shower curtain you've ever seen in your life! Nathan isn't so sure, but I'm pretty much convinced it is the best way to showcase the fabric, which at this moment is hidden away safe on my fabric shelf. So today I was glad when I figured out a way to work it into my color palette and bundle for the week!
The Fabrics:
All the Fabrics come from Hawthorne Threads this week since they designed the Fawn collection.

Gypsy Wife is Done!!! (Giveaway Time!!!)

I've finished my Gypsy Wife quilt!!! After all the procrastination I finally finished it after sitting at the sewing machine, totally focused, over the course of a few days! It was very exciting, and I love the finished quilt so much that I've decided to make it all over again! This time, I'm going to make it with a more "controlled" palette, instead of using all scraps.

The top line of fabrics shown here are the colors I intend to use in my blocks. The bottom line of fabrics will make up the background strips. I think it's going to be amazing...at least I hope!

I really can't wait to get started on it, but first I need to finish some other class samples and complete custom order sewing projects. It is going to happen soon though, and it better since I'm going to also rewrite the pattern for my students in a more beginner friendly format. (If you would like to take the class, starting in September, you can learn more and sign-up on Quilting Mayhem's website.)

So a few months ago I promised another scrap giveaway once the quilt was finished and here it is!!!
