Color Play Friday: French Coffee

Things are starting to look normal around.  I'm a little scared to say it, but I think we can finally ease into our fall routine.  We have made it through our first calm, full school week of the year, and things everything is starting to fall in place.  I mean obviously, I'm always behind schedule compared to what I want to do, but that's because there aren't enough hours in the day for all my ideas and plans -prioritizing is important.

Anyway, even though I'm in a spill your guts writing mood I need to move this along since I have a date with the Long-Arm Machine this morning and need to make sure I'm completely prepared for that!

This week's photo is another one of my #foodie shots while on my DC -NYC-Buffalo Trip the fall of 2013.  Le Pain Quotidien is one of my most favorite places to eat in the US.  (Seriously I've been to 27 states and this place made my top 5 places to eat in all of them --- and it is a small chain!!! I wouldn't believe it either, but I ate there 3 times in one 11 day trip, it was so fantastic I dream of that organic french pressed coffee and those little bowls! hahaha)

Color Play Friday: Boys on the Beach

It has been an exciting and crazy week here.

My Momma came for a visit! It had been about 848 days since I last saw her so it was a big deal! She was able to see a lot of the area around where we live, and more importantly she was able to meet Nathan and the Little One for the first time! Of course, they've talked on the phone and Skyped, but this was the first time for them to meet each other in person.  The 4 1/2 days was so special and wonderful!

It was jammed pack too, and I'm still catching up from taking the vacation, but everything is starting to fall back in place. This just happens to be why I'm just now writing my post at 4:00pm PST!

Also, I think I have used a few of these fabric before -like before they were actually in the shop, but I just saw them again the other day and fell in love with them all over again so I decided to make them work with the palette! I think I see some of these coming home with me in the very near future!

All of the fabrics are from Dear Stella and can be found here along with their coordinates.

Color Play Friday: Naked at the Airport

Hello Friday!

We just finished our first full week of school! Oh my! I'm beat! Of course its 10pm Thursday evening and I have a mountain of things still left to accomplish for the week! (I really feel like I may set unrealistic goals for myself!) So I made this as simple for everyone as possible!

First of all!

(Both winners from my blog have been contacted.)

Linda, won my bundle, and Stephanie won the bundle from Quilting Mayhem!!!

Now for getting Naked at the Airport hehehehe

This is a bit of a cheat because all of the fabrics are from the Painters Canvas Collection by Laura Gunn, but seriously everyone does need all of these.  They are fantastic blenders and the colors are beautiful!

Maybe the other participants had a little bit more time to invest in their bundles this week. I'm curious to see what everyone else came up with because there are a surprising amount of colors in this photo.

Color Play Friday: Bridge in Fall

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's #colorplayfriday. If you would like to learn more check out this blog post and visit this #colorplayfriday page for tutorials.

Be sure to check out Lorinda's bundle, and see what the other participants came of with as well. (Links listed below.)

The weather is changing rapidly here in the Pacific Northwest. Last week we were lounging at the lake, and this week I'm wearing my leggings and sweater trying to find an indoor activity for the children in my charge today. This is a great photo to capture these changes as we switch gears for the fall -promptly on September 1st! (That, to me, blows my mind!)

This was one of those sort of weeks where the fabrics don't really play well together in a conheasive project, but they all fit a "Fall to Me" theme! I seriously want to order that pumpkin spice latte fabric, how adorable is that?! Also the umbrella is perfect for the fall showers beginning here. In Oklahoma we would still be finishing up the harvesting and canning (which had I done this year would be done with by now here), so I included the apple and the canning fabric to represent that part of my autumn feel.

Do you have anything that you associate with fall besides these things?
